KUNG FU FOR EVERYONE
FUN, FITNESS, SELF DEFENSE, & COMMUNITY

Jow Ga Kung Fu is a relatively young style of Kung Fu being founded in Guangdong, China in the early 1900s and rising to prominence in the Chinese Boxer Rebellion. Although not as widely famous as other styles such as Wing Chun, Shaolin and Hung Ga – Jow Ga boasts a varied curriculum of open-hand and weapon forms and itself takes influence from Hung Ga, Choy Ga and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.
The California Kung Fu Academy was founded by Sifu Nick Pang, a master and Fourth Generation disciple of the Jow Ga system. The Academy aims to share the art, values and tradition of Kung Fu (predominantly Jow Ga) in the interest of tradition, fitness and flexibility. Classes are suitable to anyone aged 6-70 with an interest in Chinese martial arts and a willingness to learn. CKFA aims to create an inclusive community for all of its members and as such a safe environment to learn a very diverse martial art.
Sifu Pang has a passion for martial arts and himself continues to study other styles and arts and aims to incorporate elements of that into the school. He operates on a belief that martial arts need to continue to evolve and that each individual has their own contribution to make to this growth.
